That time of the year!

This year I have somehow managed to do things ahead of time. I have managed to bake my Christmas cake. ( sorry no picture) .
I have managed to decorate the living room and made it look festive so that my Santa's helper can get to work quickly😀. He has a long list to get through.

So how are your preparations coming on?

  1. Hello Shashi, your room looks beautiful and Appleberry looks right at home amongst the greenery. I was getting on really well. Most of the presents are bought and wrapped and the cards written. I was looking forward to decorating the house until I went down with a heavy cold. To add to my woes the heating packed up for six days (only repaired late yesterday afternoon) hence preparation's ground to a halt! The house is much warmer this morning, and I’m feeling a bit better so I might clamber up into the loft in a couple of days. I don’t like going up there because of the spiders, but I do like decorating the house. Christmas trees and twinkly lights are my favourite things. They really help to brighten the dark winter days.

    1. Hi Barbara thanks for dropping by. Hope you start feeling better soon. Oh it's not good time of the year for the heating to pack up but so glad it's up and running. It has been so cold for the past couple of days and the forecast is for still cold freezing weather. Keep yourself warm and cosy and take care of the cold.

  3. Shashi, it all looks wonderful. I'm finished all my promised projects and from now until the New Year, time is all mine. Putting up lights today, have cleaned the rug in my workroom so I can start fresh now with projects for our home and ready to start pulling out the decorations from the crawl space. Finally after how many years, I have some time to do things right... ;o))

  4. Oh Shashi, Your home looks so warm and inviting with it's festive decorations. It's nice to see your handmade dolls tucked here and there among the evergreen. Mr. Appleberry looks so cheerful makes me want to buy that pattern of yours. Thanks for sharing your photos.
As for me, I haven't done any decorating yet. I hope to get my Christmas tree up sometime this week. I'm hoping my cat won't bother the ornaments this year.

    1. Thank you Beth Ann. I think there is something about Christmas decorations that make the house feel so cosy and warm. Hope you are able to do your decorations as planned and the cat won't think that it's all for her to play with😀. My cat would always go and hide in the tree and I am sure played with the ornaments when we were not looking😄
